Blade Handling System

Scope:

Individual blade manufacturing and refurbishing process machines were manually loaded for processing.  Machine operators would manually inspect each individual blade a position blades in machines in a specific orientation in each individual machine for each individual process.

An Automated Blade Handling robotic work cell was designed to inspect, orient and position blades into each individual machine through the process.  Precise inspection of the blade provided feedback for blade condition and blade type.  Based on the vision inspection of the each individual blade, the blades would be robotically loaded into respective machines for processing.
